SellWell POS is a point of sale system for small shops. It runs most of its operations solely on mobile devices and does not require permanent connection to the Internet.
SellWell POS is easy to set up and use: add the items to sell and the system is ready for work.
Initially, it is using the default settings. To make the most of SellWell POS, adjust its numerous options:
- Create a separate user account in SellWell POS for each user and have statistics on sales per user.
- Set up methods of payment in addition to the default Cash method of payment.
- Set up discounts that you would like to offer when selling certain items.
- Specify the email address and send sales reports on day end.
- Enable stock management and take inventory of your sales items. Then, when you sell some quantity of your sales items their quantity on stock is automatically decreased.
- Set up taxes. If not turned off, taxes are either part of the total to be paid or a separate entry in your receipt.
- Add your sales items, setting their price, code, discounts and taxes.
- Select a printer.
- Set up the camera to read barcodes: back camera of front camera of your iPhone or iPad.
With your setup ready and a working shift started, the selling is simple and straightforward:
- Hit Sell on the main screen.
- Select a sales item from the list and set the quantity to sell.
- Hit Total to update the shifts sales results and quantities on stock.
Use advanced features of SellWell
The point of sale processes special cases
- Use Void a line in a ticket to remove the selected sales item.
- Use Refund a ticket to return the money if your customer refuses to buy; the sold quantities are restored on stock.
- Add a discount.
- Add taxes.
- Use multiple methods of payment.
Each item has several options for storage
- stored only for the items which are not sold directly (sugar in a cup coffee)
- sold only but never stored on stock (like a cup of coffee or a sandwich)
- stored and sold (like a pack of coffee beans in your coffee shop)
Manage your items on stock by using stock operations
- Use the Receiving function to increase the quantities on stock.
- Use the Shipping function for cases when you need to decrease the quantity on stock.
- Set the actual available quantity of stored items manually by taking inventory with the Inventory function.
The sales occur in shifts
- Shifts are open when the seller (user of SellWell) starts selling.
- Shifts are closed when the seller finishes selling.
- Shifts are paused when the seller logs off and intends to return soon.
- Shifts contribute to the end of day data which agggregate sales results at the end of the day.
The reporting is based on shifts accumulated at Day end
- Use the Electronic journal to view for the for the current shift your sales activities (sales, item returns, payments grouped by methods of payment) and stock operations (all received, shifted or changed by taking inventory).
- At the end of the day, have all day sales operations (covering one or more shifts) summarized by running the Day end function
